Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments

PRP treatments for skin rejuvenation involve drawing a small amount of the patient’s blood, processing it to concentrate the platelets, and gently injecting the plasma just under the skin.

Rich in growth factors, PRP stimulates collagen production, promotes healthier skin cells, to reduce pigmentation, wrinkles and increase plumpness and even skin tone. It’s a natural, minimally invasive option for improving skin and often used alongside other therapies.

The ultimate 'vampire' treatment that doesn't make you look like you've just been in a horror movie. Redness lasts only up to a few hours after the treatment.

How its done

Step 1.

A small amount of blood is taken from the arm similar to a blood test.

Step 2.

The blood is processed to separate the PRP whilst the scalp is cleansed in preparation for the treatment.

Step 3.

The PRP is gently injected under the skin using a precision injection device that controls depth and volume injected. We can treat the skin more evenly and over a larger area compared to those who inject by basic needle and syringe. This make the treatment more effective and less painful than traditional PRP injections.

Frequently Asked Questions

🩸 Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections

What is PRP facial treatment and how does it work?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) facial treatment at WimbleDerm uses a small sample of your blood, from which the plasma rich in growth factors is extracted and re-injected into the skin. This stimulates collagen, smooths fine lines, and rejuvenates skin naturally—making it a popular non-surgical skin treatment in Wimbledon.

How many PRP sessions are needed for visible results?

Most clients at our Wimbledon clinic see noticeable improvement in skin texture, tone, and hydration after 3–4 sessions, spaced around four weeks apart. Regular maintenance every 6–12 months enhances long-term effects.

Is PRP effective for treating pigmentation and acne scars?

Yes, PRP is highly effective in reducing hyperpigmentation and acne scars. The growth factors in your own plasma accelerate healing and cell renewal, helping to fade dark spots and smooth out acne-related texture.

Is PRP safe for sensitive or mature skin?

Absolutely. PRP is 100% natural and derived from your own body, making it ideal for sensitive, ageing, or rosacea-prone skin with minimal risk of allergic reactions.

💧 Biorevitalisation Mesotherapy

What is biorevitalisation mesotherapy and what does it do?

Biorevitalisation mesotherapy is a minimally invasive skin treatment in Wimbledon involving microinjections of hyaluronic acid, amino acids, and vitamins. It hydrates the skin deeply, stimulates collagen, and improves elasticity for a youthful glow.

How is mesotherapy different from fillers?

Unlike fillers, which add volume, mesotherapy works on the skin's surface layers to improve hydration, firmness, and skin quality without altering facial shape. It’s perfect for clients seeking a refreshed, natural appearance.

What skin conditions can mesotherapy treat?

At Wimblederm, mesotherapy effectively targets dullness, dehydration, fine lines, uneven skin tone, and early signs of ageing. It’s also suitable for skin maintenance and rejuvenation.

Is mesotherapy suitable for all skin types?

Yes, mesotherapy is safe for all skin types and can be customised to address specific concerns like pigmentation, ageing, or rosacea.

🌞 Skin Pigmentation Treatment

What causes pigmentation and how do you treat it at Wimblederm?

Pigmentation can result from sun damage, hormonal changes (melasma), acne scarring, or ageing. At Wimblederm in Wimbledon, we use mesotherapy, PRP, and medical-grade skincare to safely lighten dark spots and even out skin tone.

How soon will I see results from pigmentation treatment?

Clients usually begin to see improvements within 2–4 weeks, with best possible results after 4–12 sessions depending on the severity and cause of pigmentation.

Are the results of pigmentation treatments permanent?

Results can be long-lasting, but ongoing sun protection and maintenance treatments are essential to prevent recurrence. We always recommend daily SPF 50 and tailored skincare post-treatment.

What’s the best treatment for melasma in Wimbledon?

We find a customised combination of biorevitalisation, antioxidant mesotherapy, and gentle resurfacing gives excellent results for melasma. A consultation at our Wimbledon clinic helps determine the most effective approach.

Anti-Ageing and Wrinkle Treatments

What are the best non-surgical treatments for wrinkles?

At Wimblederm, we offer PRP, biorevitalisation mesotherapy, and collagen-boosting skincare to reduce the appearance of fine lines and restore youthful firmness—without the need for invasive procedures, toxins or fillers.

How soon should I start anti-ageing treatments?

Preventative treatments can start in your late 20s or early 30s. Early intervention maintains collagen levels and delays the formation of deeper wrinkles.

Can you combine anti-ageing treatments for better results?

Yes. Combination treatments such as PRP plus mesotherapy are ideal for boosting hydration, firming skin, and stimulating collagen. We create custom plans at our Wimbledon clinic for optimal results.

How long do wrinkle treatments last?

Results vary, but most clients enjoy smoother, firmer skin for 6–12 months with maintenance sessions recommended.

🌹 Rosacea Treatments

What is rosacea and how can Wimblederm help manage it?

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterised by redness, visible capillaries, and sensitivity. At Wimblederm, we offer gentle mesotherapy and customised skincare to calm inflammation, strengthen the skin barrier, and reduce flare-ups.

Can rosacea be treated permanently?

While rosacea isn’t curable, it can be well-managed with regular treatments and lifestyle adjustments. Consistency is key to keeping symptoms under control.

Is PRP safe for rosacea-prone skin?

Yes. PRP has anti-inflammatory properties and can help heal and rebuild rosacea-damaged skin without irritation, making it a suitable choice for sensitive skin.

What skincare should I use for rosacea?

We recommend calming, fragrance-free, and barrier-repairing skincare. Our specialists in Wimbledon can recommend medical-grade products tailored to your needs.

🌿 Acne and Acne Scarring Treatments

What acne treatments are available?

We offer a range of non-invasive acne treatments in Wimbledon, including PRP, antioxidant-rich mesotherapy, and customised skincare plans to reduce breakouts, inflammation, and scarring.

How effective is PRP for acne scars?

PRP is a regenerative treatment that helps repair skin at the cellular level. It boosts collagen, smooths acne scars, and improves skin texture with minimal downtime.

How quickly will I see results for acne treatments?

Most clients notice reduced breakouts and smoother skin within 3–4 sessions, with further improvements over time as skin heals and renews itself.

Can adult acne be treated effectively?

Yes, we successfully treat adult acne by addressing both surface inflammation and internal imbalances. Our personalised plans consider hormonal, lifestyle, and skincare factors.

💫 Skin Firming and Tightening in Wimbledon

What are the best non-surgical options for firming the skin?

At Wimblederm, we use mesotherapy and PRP to stimulate collagen and elastin production, improving skin tone and elasticity with no downtime.

How long do skin tightening treatments last?

Results can last 6–12 months, depending on your age, skin type, and lifestyle. We recommend maintenance treatments to keep skin looking youthful and lifted.

Is skin tightening treatment painful?

Treatments are minimally invasive and well-tolerated, with only mild redness or swelling that usually only lasts a couple of hours.

Who is a good candidate for skin firming treatments?

Anyone experiencing early signs of skin laxity, typically from their 30s onwards, can benefit from firming and tightening treatments at our Wimbledon clinic.

General Skin Rejuvenation

What are the best treatments for overall skin rejuvenation?

A combination of PRP and biorevitalisation mesotherapy is ideal for refreshing the skin, enhancing glow, and addressing multiple concerns like dullness, dehydration, fine lines, and uneven tone.

Can I do skin rejuvenation treatments preventatively?

Yes! Preventative treatments help maintain skin health, slow signs of ageing, and keep your complexion radiant year-round.

What results can I expect from skin rejuvenation treatments?

You’ll notice improved hydration, smoother texture, and a visible radiance boost after just a few sessions. Long-term benefits include better skin resilience and reduced ageing signs.

How often should I get skin rejuvenation treatments?

We usually recommend 3 initial sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 3–6 months depending on your skin goals.
